We like to keep our travel as ethical as possible, but without all the impressive language and marketing nonsense; in short, we work as hard as we can to maintain a sustainable, ethical business.
As we have lived, worked, and interacted with our local partners as friends, we believe in a positive interaction from start to finish. Our tours have no organized shopping, we will only use locally owned hotels and services and local restaurants will only be recommended by the quality of their food, not their cost. Throughout our adventures, where possible, we will initiate local interaction by visiting markets, homestays etc; and this will be done under recommendation from our partners without causing embarrassment to you or the locals.

Experienced Tour Leaders

Our expert tour leaders are all chosen for their unique understanding and enjoyment of the countries they are working in. They can offer more to the tour giving a unique perspective and more in-depth knowledge of the adventure they are leading. In many cases, the places we visit are rarely explored by western tourists, and so having an expert tour leader on hand can add a new level to your travel experience.
Whether local or western they will all have training in professional tour-leading to accompany their unique insights.

We work with local partners and independent companies in every country we travel to so we can be sure we’re bringing money to the local economy and the people whose countries we’re visiting.
Outside of our core Absolute Nomads team, we work with an array of independent local guides to ensure you get the most grassroots experience alongside the people who live their everyday lives in the places we’re visiting. We also work with these guides to craft our tour itineraries and take into account their suggestions and recommendations to provide you with the best possible travel experience.

Alongside our group tour options, we pride ourselves in being able to cater to the independent traveller. We understand that, for some people, a group tour is not as appealing as travelling solo with family, friends or colleagues.

 

We can include anything and everything from any of our group tour itineraries on a private independent tour, and we’ll gladly advise on some of the travel hotspots for the keen, yet undecided adventurer.
